History
The first of a series of three quilts in the 'Boulder Opal Series' inspired by the rock opals at Coober Pedy, New South Wales, Australia.
"I have always loved opals for their variety of colour and the play of light on them, but in their natural state they were even more interesting. The strong
contrasts of the textures of the strata rock and opal imbedded within was shown in uncounted ways."
