History

Constructed as a mixed media work for the Art Gallery of NSW’s Sir John Sulman Prize exhibition 2003. The work is a compilation of images of fire on a dark background where the use of beads and paint add to the illusion.

Materials: Commercial silks, polyester, metallic, cotton, glass beads, and paint
Techniques: Fused appliqué, beading and machine quilting. Removed from stretcher frame and refinished 2005
