History
This utility quilt was made in 1954 by Val Ireland and it is still owned by her although it is not used now. "This Wagga was made for camping. We didn't have a car and we caught the train to the north or south coast of NSW or wherever the fishing was good."

Description
The top of this utility quilt is machine pieced rectangles of woollen materials joined in strips. It includes corduroys and velveteens and woollen tartan. The backing is an Indian cotton blanket.
