History
This quilt was a Challenge Entry."An Australian Architect, John Hall Thorpe travelled to Europe and became established in England, producing printmaking of English flowers his focus. I have tried to draw together his life and his art into my interpretation of the theme. While dark English sky prevails, the bright colours of the Australian sky could remind him of his homeland. The vertical construction gives a strong architectural feeling."
