History

Geelong Grammar School on Corio Bay is where the annual Textile Fibre Forum supports artists to retreat and experiment. The seagrass images were taken at 2014 and are used to raise awareness of seagrass beds and their ability to provide carbon sequestration.
The map of Corio Bay’s seagrass beds is shown using embroidered stitch in the style of ancient maps.
Corio Bay is an ancient place for escape and contemplation for both First Australians and the current population.
