Made by Mrs WH Goodfellow when she lived in Brisbane Queensland. She had lived in the Miles District and the quilt won 1st prize at the district show in 1951. Now owned by the Miles Historical Village & Museum and used as a chaise lounge mattress cover in the living room of the slab hut.
Description
Patchwork crazy quilt with patches of cotton, rayon, velvet and cotton blends. Colours are predominantly pastels. Red herringbone stitch joins each patch and also stitches it to the calico backing. No padding.
