History
Winner of Expressions 2008: The Wool Quilt Prize Artist Statement: 'My friend Vriginia named this quilt for me and I thought "of course". A ladder is a means of rising or climbing and I began this work with a sense of freedom. In this case freedom from entrapment of thought, feeling and creativity.'
Description
A woollen quilt made from wool, silk organza and taffeta, and cotton embroidery thread with a horizontal ladder design in brown, grey and green. Machine quilted and hand stitched.
