History
The appliqué quilt top was made by Mary Hunt (maiden name), the owner's great-grandmother, around 1860. Mary Hunt was married in the late 1860s and lived at 'Kembla Grange' at Dapto New South Wales. This house was pulled down in the early 1960s.Description
Quilt top has a white background with pink and purple appliqué hearts and stars in the centre within a pink circle and square border, letters are appliquéd in pink. The inscription is: 'Mary Hunt is my name Dapto is my dwelling place When I am dead and all my'… (incomplete).The appliqué quilt top is unfinished, the maker died before she finished it. It has not been used.
