HistoryThe quilt was made by Jessie Dunstan in Newcastle NSW in 1956 for her first grandchild Toni Whitson. Toni's mother passed it on to her sister Yvonne when her children were born. Jessie Duncan was a dressmaker and so had many scraps from which to make quilts but this is the only quilt that still exists.
