History
One interpretation of leaving and going to another land is the ability to reflect on where you are going to and from where you came. This quilt, part of my reflection series, shows the wake of a boat, and gives the reflection of hope for the future with past issues resolved or distinguished.
The wake in its other form celebrates a Life passing. My paternal grandfather emigrated from Birmingham England to Adelaide, Australia in 1910.
