History

Made in 1966 by Margaret Little. Owned by Dulcie Williams. The quilt was originally two quilts, made as a baby welcoming gift for twins. As the children grew up the two quilts were joined together and so had an extended life.
The Little family were a pioneer family in the Miles district of Queensland and they provided the feathers for the filling.

Description

Wholecloth quilt made from cotton japara, a feather proof fabric, printed with a blue floral and check pattern on white. Machine quilted in rectangles and filled with feathers. Originally two small quilts and joined together later. Quilt is reversible, the backing the same as the front.
