Made by Mrs. Tadgell (or Tatchell) on a treadle sewing machine whilst living on her dairy farm at Olinda Creek near Chateau Wyuna, Mt Evelyn Victoria. Given to Mrs M Wood, the donor, when a child, for her bed.[Yarra Ranges Regional Museum]
Description
Black velvet quilt, log-cabin pattern in blue, purple, orange and green. Backed with multi-striped cotton material to replace original artificial silk which decayed. No wadding or quilting stitches.1250 x 1570 mm
