Third quilt of the triptych 'CELEBRATE THE CULTURE OF AUSTRALIA’S FIRST PEOPLE 2', made for the Mount Magnet Astro Rocks Fest, September 2019. Exhibited at the Wirnda Barna (Aboriginal) Canvas and Quilt Exhibition.

Description

The quilt celebrates the traditional knowledge and custodianship of water resources by Aboriginal people, on which their survival depended.
Text on the quilt, starting at the top:

- moved camp to optimise water use, knowledge transferred between generations
- creation Dreaming, songlines that link waterholes, star maps for songlines, ceremony ritual lore, Dreaming that conveys a moral
