History
Commissioned by a business person to make a wall hanging using his tie collection from a career working as Australian contact for United Nations. He liked the idea of small 3D boxes as it implied parts of a greater whole. The work is double sided with the rear called ‘Tie Back’ and was assembled by Enid Paddon-Rowe. We collaborated on the quilt so we could keep any excess ties as we both collect ties to make quilts.
Exhibited at 'Refabricating’ exhibition, Braemar Gallery, Springwood 2001
