History
This quilt was made for my sister when she was a baby by my grandmother who was a very poor woman who had 7 children. Her husband was killed tragically in a mining accident leaving her destitute. My mother, Edna Albert Burge (now gone) was so very proud of this quilt loving put together by her mother for her first baby. When my mother died I found it wrapped securely in a closet with several of her other prized possessions. My sister for whom it was made, Linda Burge Chaput is also now gone. I am very concerned with the disposition of this quilt when I am gone.
Description
Made of wool. No batting that I can tell.

Thank you for posting this! My name is Kara Force. My grandmother is Mary (Albert) Hanslovan. She would be your mother’s (Edna) sister. My mother and I have been looking into some of the family history. What a special quilt!
