History

"I grew up in a very different Australia to the one seen today. There are many more faces to Australia now and many still not acknowledged. There are many ideologies and there are still many questions. What is our culture and who we are as ‘Australians’. There are questions all around us. For example, youth is venerated, yet we are an aging population, the myth of the nuclear family, that we are a peaceful nation but we have been committed to many wars and our forces and their families are making sacrifices every day. According to the media, this country glorifies sport yet only a small per cent of the population and is really involved. And so on."
