History
The quilt was made by Mary Powell Shann, mother of Patricia Ford, the present owner. It was made to use on children's beds. It is stored at 'Aldersyde East' and is used on a bed in the guest flat. Mary Powell Shann was known as a most industrious woman. She loved playing ball sports, tennis, golf, bowls.
Description
Cotton quilt made from a wide variety of scraps, patterned and plain, in rectangles and squares. Machine construction with white cotton lining.
