The rug was made by Hartley Schultz at his tannery in Hammond Avenue Wagga Wagga NSW in the early 1950s. John Edward Hepburn bought the rug for his wife Joan Patricia Hepburn (born Nixon). It is now owned by Nicholas John Turner, grandson and used all the time by him.
Description
Fox skin rug made from the backs of forty two fox skins. The backing is red felt with a stamped scalloped edge extending beyond the skins.
