This magnificent old Sydney red gum grows on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the bush and waterways near Bobbin Head NSW not far from where I lived. Many times I watched the transformation as the strips of old bark fell to the ground and the new bark emerged.

Machine appliqué, hand quilted and finished, loose leaves. Materials include cotton, poly-cotton, satin, wool, blends with polyester wadding.
