History
This work was commissioned after a smaller work was part of the artists Solo Exhibition at the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery
in 2018. It was completed in mid 2020 after the shocking black summer bush fires that raged up and down the east coast
of Australia and with the new owners permission was shown as part of Atasda Interlude Exhibition at the incinerator art
space Willoughby Sydney in 2021.
We are in the Red Zone. Alarm bells are ringing. Our world is being damaged by pollution and greed. Before it's too late we
all need to be more environmentally aware, change our habits, recycle, reuse and reduce our rubbish going to landfill.

Description
Materials include plain cotton and silk fabrics, recycled sari silk, fabric paint and screen printing inks.
Machine and hand stitching, threads, sheer fabric, lace, ribbon, vilysofix, wadding and recycled zipper.
