Made by Fanny Grace Blenkiron at Angaston South Australia between 1950 and 1960. Owned by her daughter-in-law Ida Blenkiron. Pieces of patchwork include remnants from some of Ida's favourite dresses, including pieces from the plaid dress she wore at school.
Description
Crazy patchwork quilt top for a single bed, made from cotton patches in plains, checks, stripes and florals, machine pieced directly on to a backing of brown, yellow and white check cotton. A saxe blue cotton headcloth gathered skirt or flounce is on three sides, split at the sides. 1920 x 950mm
