History
The rug was made by Doug Tremble's late wife in the 1950s at 'Wellington Vale', Deepwater NSW. Owned by Doug Tremble. To be inherited by Lucy Robertson-Cuninghame. "I trapped the rabbits [and] foxes and my late wife had them tanned and sewed them up herself. She had the skins tanned in Sydney NSW. I think the tannery was in Newtown Sydney. It is still used on my bed in the winter and in the summer is stored in a linen press."
[Doug Tremble]
Doug Tremble is 87 or so and has lived on 'Wellington Vale' all his life. He was born there and his father worked for the Robertson-Cuninghame's, local land holders.
