History
The maker, Margaret Miller (1843-1912) made the quilt in Northern Ireland prior to 1884 when she came to Australia with one of her brothers. It was then owned by her niece, Annie Thomas (born Miller) and is now owned by her grand niece Margaret-Anne Thomas. It is used for display only.
Description
Cotton quilt hand pieced and hand quilted. Eight pointed star on a white background. Seven rows of seven stars with a 70mm border. There is a padding or interlining. The backing is plain off white cotton twill.
