This quilt was made by Miss Lilian Maud Downing in Bicton Western Australia between 1964 and 1969. It is now owned by Mrs R Downing. The quilt was completed after Lilian retired from her nursing career. The fabrics were purchased especially for the quilt. Lilian died in 1996 at the age of 95.
Hand stitched quilt in repeat hexagon pattern in calico and headcloth. There is no padding and the backing is calico.
