History
The inspiration for this art work was the bush out Bathurst NSW way. The use of various weight fabrics in a quilt was radical for the time. Viewers either really liked it or not. I was intent on developing a truly 'Australian outlook' in textiles.

Description
Machine appliqué and finished, trapunto, hand quilted. Chenille border with roulette insert. Materials include cotton, wool, satin, chenille, blends, dress and curtain fabric together with polyester wadding.
